If you are looking at wedding venues, The Lion Hotel, offers a variety of wedding packages to suit your individual requirements. Total wedding packages can be arranged and delivered by your personal wedding coordinator. All menus are individually tailor-made.
Each wedding couple has the honeymoon suite as complimentary for their wedding night. We are ideally situated for pictures by the river Wye; the smaller weddings are our speciality.
The Hotel is licensed for civil ceremonies and all your wedding requirements can be locally sources from your flowers to your suites and even your wedding list. Most wedding accessories are easily sought.
Master of ceremonies, speech-writing facilities, table decorations, suite hire and even your wedding list can all be arranged. How about pre-wedding events such as clay pigeon shooting, fishing or even carting for the gents or a more pampered approach for the ladies such as beauty therapies, are all available locally and in-house on an appointment basis.
Other wedding plans and considerations are how many people you can afford to invite and still have the kind of reception you want, at the Lion Hotel, we cater for 110 people for a wedding breakfast/banquet and 250 for an evening party. On your special day, total exclusivity of the hotel is available if you so wish. When you have decided on your type of wedding reception, the next decision is the evening reception and entertainment as your guests will be in high spirits and it is a great way to compliment and complete your wedding day.
Siop Flodau
The Flower Shop – Siop Flodau – has been under new ownership since January 2005. Its previous owner Jayne Adams who is renowned for her wedding flowers still works at the flower shop and like Sue Parry, the present owner, recently trained with William Hyatt, who is well known locally for his Church and reception flowers. The shop has an excellent reputation for bespoke arrangements and bouquets. Flowers can be delivered locally or relayed nationally and internationally through flowers direct.
